This post is long overdue, but still important to share. A few months ago, Weinlabel.at officially became part of Glasswise. The previous operator, Fritz Urbaschek, retired and entrusted the platform to me so that his users would continue to have a reliable place for their e-labels.
What happened behind the scenes
When the handover took place, all existing labels and data from Weinlabel.at were migrated directly into Glasswise. Users could continue working without interruption, and everything was kept exactly as it was.
One thing that couldn't be transferred for security reasons were passwords. So anyone coming from Weinlabel.at has already gone through the simple step of setting a new password when logging in for the first time.
Why this made sense
Even though Weinlabel.at was a small, focused platform, it deserved a stable future. Glasswise offers a framework that continues to evolve, including:
- EU-compliant e-label features
- Regular improvements and new capabilities
- Multi-language support
- Direct, personal help when it's needed
Bringing both platforms together made sure that existing users didn't lose their setup and gained access to features that weren't available before.
A personal note
Glasswise is a small, independent product. Every winery that chooses it helps keep it moving forward. Taking over Weinlabel.at was a meaningful moment for me and a responsibility I didn't take lightly.
My goal was simple: keep everything running smoothly, make the transition painless, and offer a future-proof home for all existing labels.
Looking ahead
Most of the practical work happened months ago. Users have already been onboarded, passwords reset, and labels migrated. This post simply closes the loop and puts the story in writing.
I'm glad to welcome everyone who came over from Weinlabel.at and I'm looking forward to supporting you as Glasswise continues to grow.
